Dear fellow members,

In order to ensure the safety of our staff and members, when on Annisquam Yacht Club property:

This rule applies, until further notice, to both indoor and outdoor spaces, docks, private boats in slips or at a dock, and on the launch. It goes without saying that any person, including staff, with symptoms of COVID-19 should not enter the property.

Masks should adhere to guidelines outlined at Please note that members who are not appropriately masked will be asked to leave the property, and/or denied access to the launch.

Exceptions to wearing a mask include:

  • children under the age of 2,
  • those unable to wear one due to a medical condition, and
  • members engaged in playing tennis who are appropriately socially distanced.

Furthermore, use of a mask does not replace important social distancing measures. All individuals must try to maintain more than 6 feet of distance from other people who are not in their group, and wash hands regularly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds at provided hand-washing stations.

Additional specific policies may apply to using the launch, tennis courts or take-out dining. Please check for the most up-to-date protocols for these activities.

To ensure the safety of our staff the gangway, Clubhouse, bathrooms, and porches are currently closed to members. If a member wishes to contact staff, please do so by phone or email.

Sincerely yours,

Winand van Eeghen

sailing1The Annisquam Yacht Club is a private club whose purpose since 1896 has been to provide for its members a haven for sailing, yachting, tennis, and friendship. Located 35 miles north of Boston, Massachusetts, the Club sits on the Annisquam River, about .5 miles south of the Annisquam Light and the entrance to Ipswich Bay. Our mooring area is well protected, though crowded; the Club has a limited number of guest moorings and can accommodate visiting boats up to 45’. Launch service is available (see Marina page for schedule). We have no guest rooms at the Club, though there are several B&Bs nearby. The Club serves lunch Thursday through Sunday. There is light dining six nights per week and fine dining Friday–Sunday (see the Dining and Calendar pages for more information) and a nearby local restaurant serves dinner every evening except Wednesday. We welcome visiting yachts and hope to see you on your cruise.
