Message Regarding COVID-19

Dear fellow AYC members,

I feel very fortunate for our tight-knit and kind-hearted community in these difficult times, as I am sure all of you do as well. Many of you may be wondering about the upcoming 2020 AYC season.  Given the many unknowns, it is impossible to make any predictions or make any firm decisions right now. Our Board of Governors and Flag Officers are hard at work creating multiple scenario contingency plans that can be acted on swiftly. As soon as there is more clarity and we get closer to opening day, we will be updating you. Time is on our side as we have over two months till the Chowder.  Stay tuned. We are all in this together! Be well, maintain your good cheer, take social distancing seriously, and wash your hands frequently!

Sincerely yours,

Winand van Eeghen, Commodore

sailing1The Annisquam Yacht Club is a private club whose purpose since 1896 has been to provide for its members a haven for sailing, yachting, tennis, and friendship. Located 35 miles north of Boston, Massachusetts, the Club sits on the Annisquam River, about .5 miles south of the Annisquam Light and the entrance to Ipswich Bay. Our mooring area is well protected, though crowded; the Club has a limited number of guest moorings and can accommodate visiting boats up to 45’. Launch service is available (see Marina page for schedule). We have no guest rooms at the Club, though there are several B&Bs nearby. The Club serves lunch Thursday through Sunday. There is light dining six nights per week and fine dining Friday–Sunday (see the Dining and Calendar pages for more information) and a nearby local restaurant serves dinner every evening except Wednesday. We welcome visiting yachts and hope to see you on your cruise.
