NOTICE OF RACE and SAILING INSTRUCTIONS

DATE:

Friday July 30, 2010

REGISTRATION:

420s: 08:30-09:30
All other boats: Between 10:30-12:00 at the Annisquam Yacht Club Office

SKIPPERS’ MEETINGS:

420s: 10:00
All other boats: 12:00

TIME:

420s: 11:00
All other boats: Warning Signal 13:30

RULES:

This event will be governed by the US Sailing Rules of Racing, 2009-2012

STARTING LOCATION:

Line 1. Optimist Pram Green and Optimist Pram Championship — 25’ Cruiser (Grit & Grace) with Yellow R/C Flag off Wingaersheek Beach

Line 2. Other Classes (Laser, Fish, 420 and Sturdee Cat) — Blue Cruiser (Great Blue) with Blue RC Flag North of Annisquam Bell

Line 3. 420 Fleet Racing — AYC Whaler (Chief) west of Line 1, off Essex Bell

CLASS FLAGS:

Fish, 420s, Optis and Sturdee Cats as shown on Squam Day Racing Circular.

RECALLS:

Individual recalls will be signaled by the display of Code Flag “X” and one sound signal. General recalls will be signaled by the display of a First Repeater and two sound signals. Warning signal for the class recalled will be sounded one minute after the First Repeater is lowered.

COURSES:

Courses are shown on the “Squam Day” Circular, which forms a part of these Sailing Instructions.

SCORING:

The Low Point Scoring System will be used.

PROTESTS:

Protesting yachts must notify the Race Committee upon finishing. Protests must be filed in writing within thirty minutes after the arrival of the Race Committee boat ashore.

AWARDS:

First and second prizes will be awarded in classes comprising five or more finishers. First, second, and third prizes will be awarded in classes comprising seven or more finishers.
